Geometric cabinet
(Sara:) I have been contemplating how to present the geometric shapes to C. for 2 years! (This is a sensorial activity.) I just couldn't put out the money for one. It is one of the most expensive materials! So recently I purchased the PDF file of 3-part-cards of the geometric shapes from Alison's. I printed, laminated, and cut them. Then, I cut out 6 shapes from foam board (I'll try to add a picture later) and I cut out all the other shapes from poster board. (It's a lot of work cutting out that foam board, and I mostly wanted them for the pentagon - decagon shapes.) I used a hot glue gun to add beads to each of the shapes. It's turned out good enough for now!

Sara,
How are you printing and laminating? Are you doing it at home? Ryan and I are trying to figure out if we want to buy a laminator or just use kinkos or something of the sort.
I'm addicted to laminating LOL! My mom actually bought one for me, the cheap one from Walmart, about $24-$25. I get laminating sheets from Laminator.com - 300 for $27 including S&H.
If I only had one child, laminating wouldn't matter to me. But it's a lot of work putting things together, and I DONT want to have to repeat things for each child!! Plus, it does make the materials more beautiful and sturdy. Once you have a laminator, it's amazing how many things you suddenly think "this would be great laminated!"
But no, it's not REALLY necessary. Just a fun extra I'm happy to have. Or you ladies can just mail me your stuff & let me do it for you. :)
